EZmix EZmix 2 is a multi-effect plug-in that lets you assign professionally designed audio processing effect chains to any audio source. A guitar amp, mixing engineer and mastering suite all in one convenient package. The EZmix 2 philosophy is as simple as it is complex. You only see the easy part – everything else goes on behind the scenes. Lend some pro secrets and platinum record magic to your music – it deserves to sound great! EZmix 2 was designed to be as easy and intuitive as humanly possible but still leave you creative leverage – hence the two rotary controls. These are the central pieces of the software. They let you dial in and customize each setting. However, they don’t simply add more or less of a specific signal chain, they control each setting’s sometimes complex network of effects and allow you to tweak a creative take on each. In other words, each preset is much more than just one, plain setting. Each signal chain preset in EZmix 2 involves a series of effect units, expertly dialed in by professional engineers. A setting can involve anything from a plain but perfectly simulated guitar cabinet to a complex network of sends, effects and parameters. EZmix 2 is a powerful package that combines a multitude of quality studio effects with the know-how of professional engineers. As soon as you select one of the ready-made settings, a complex chain of effect units instantly loads seamlessly in the background.
AMBIENT EZMIX PACK The Ambient EZmix Pack is a collection of settings specifically aimed at creating large, reverberant soundscapes. A creative toolbox, perfect for use in atmospheric compositions spanning anything from motion picture scores to modern pop and a wide array of other musical contexts. It comes complete with ready-made amp/cab simulation settings for guitar and bass, including deep textures of bit crushed reverbs, bouncing delays and tremolos. Also, in addition to its settings tailored for vocals and drums, the Ambient EZmix Pack comes with a selection of signal chains designed to work on any melodic instrument – be it piano, organ, flute or guitar. But of course – any setting can be applied on whatever audio source you may have. A richly saturated guitar preset might just be the perfect fit for your piano. Or a daunting, backward vocal effect may very well be exactly what you wanted for your bass drum. It’s just a matter of picking, choosing and being creative. Sweeping pads, flanged reverbs, slow, dwindling echoes – this truly is an inspiring set of tools that will add an instant new layer of creativity to any colorful, emotive or artistic expression.
AMPS EZMIX PACK For the Amps EZmix Pack, we dove headfirst into the vaults of the the last few decades of guitar inspired music and came back out with a complete songwriting toolbox for anything from rock and blues to pop and country guitar. Need an ’80s “Purple Rain”-esque sound? Call it up. Want a gritty twang guitar? Call it up. A soaring lead sound, a bluesy rhythm guitar or a fat rock bass? BASS TOOLBOX EZMIX PACK The Bass Toolbox EZmix Pack comes with a wide variety of presets custom-made solely for bass guitar. You’ll find anything from amp and cab simulation settings to signal chains for amp and DI combos as well as inserts applicable on any type of source bass guitar audio.“The idea was to compile something that would cater to a broad use, regardless of genre. A collection that covered the whole gamut of fundamental tools you’d need to get your bass right in a mix scenario”, says Toontrack sound designer Ulf Edlund. A bass guitar in a mix situation is seldom just a plain and simple instrument signal. It often involves a long chain of effects such as compression, EQ, tape simulator and various types of distortion. Most mix engineers would even agree to bass being one of the hardest instruments to have sit well in a production. That’s why Toontrack put together an all-star team of engineers to design this collection of go-to settings for mixing and recording bass guitar: Randy Staub (Metallica, Avril Lavigne), Neil Dorfsman (Bruce Springsteen, Dire Straits), Pelle Henricsson (Refused, Meshuggah) as well as the Toontrack sound design team. DRUMS TOOLBOX EZMIX PACK The Drums Toolbox EZmix Pack features a wide variety of one-click settings specifically tailored to enhance drum recordings of any type, all designed by a dream team of engineers: Randy Staub (Metallica, Alice in Chains), Neil Dorfsman (Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan), Pelle Henricsson (Refused) and the sound design team at Toontrack. Be it straight out of your favorite sampler, a studio multitrack recording or right off an on-stage live performance, the Drums Toolbox EZmix Pack will offer complex chains and various amounts of EQ, compression, transient shaping and tape simulation to take your drum audio to the next level.
